Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy: Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49
Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor was performed by Sukyeon Kim (piano), Won-Young Jung (violin), Chi-Ho Choi (cello) and Hari Yim (sound engineer) at the Partikasaal auditorium as part of a chamber music production.
The three musicians, all of whom completed their music performance degree at the Robert Schumann School of Music and Media with Prof. Schenck, Prof. Bieler, Prof. Horsch and Nicolaus Trieb, quickly found common ground for their interpretation. The result of their inspired musical work can be heard here. Hari Yim, who majors in Music and Media, was music recording director and also responsible for editing and mixing. The production was part of his final exam in the advanced-level Classical Music Recording course of Prof. Dagmar Birwe.
