Requirements for the Trombone major (jazz/pop)
The artistic-musical proficiency test includes the following contents:
1. Solo presentation of a simple classical étude or classical piece or presentation of a jazz transcription of a trombone solo (e.g., Kai Winding, J.J. Johnson)
2. Improvisation on a prepared jazz standard (such as Take the “A” Train, Satin Doll, Autumn Leaves) or pop standard with accompaniment or to a play-along recording
3. Sightreading a specified melody.
This instrument can only be chosen in the Music and Media and Audio and Video bachelor’s programs.
