Requirements for the Piano major

1a) Piano performance major
Four works from three different style periods; including: 1) A virtuoso piece, 2) a contemporary work from the past 50 years.

1b) Piano major (Music Pedagogy program)
Three works from three different style periods. In addition, a virtuoso étude is not obligatory, but would be welcomed.

2a) Minor (Piano Performance): Wind instrument, string instrument or voice
Two pieces of the musician’s choice.

2b) Minor (Music Pedagogy program): Melody instrument or voice
Two pieces of the musician’s choice.

Music and Media and Audio and Video
Three works (also individual movements from sonatas) from three different style periods such as Baroque, Viennese Classic period, New Music, etc. (no improvisation, only music in score)

The audition performance should generally last about eight minutes in total. The examining boards reserve the right to make a selection from the pieces.

In the Music and Media as well as Audio and Video bachelor's programs, there is no minor subject examination.

Music Education
In Music Education, the profiency test includes a music pedagogical colloquium in addition to the musical performance.
