Ulrike Warnecke, born in Bonn, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne and graduated with the educational degrees in clarinet and EMP and the artistic degrees of the final artistic examination - the Künstlerische Reifeprüfung - and the concert examination. 

With her equally advanced artistic-educational skills, Ulrike Warnecke concentrates on training young clarinetists. Her teaching capacity comprises department management at the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann School of Music in Erftstadt; the teaching appointment for clarinet and teaching methodology at the Robert Schumann School of Music and Media since 2008; as well as courses and lectures for organisations such as the North Rhine-Westphalian Music Council [Landesmusikrat NRW], the German Clarinet Society [Deutsche Klarinettengesellschaft] and the Kronach Early Instrumental Symposium [Frühinstrumentalsymposium].

Together with Christof Hilger, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne/ Clara-Schumann Musikschule Düsseldorf, she founded and directs the intraregional workshop Klarinette pur! [Pure clarinet!].

Publications on the topics of educational clarinet practice and various functions as a jury member add to her educational-artistic activities.

Her educational work is reflected in the numerous national prizes gained by her students in the Jugend musiziert [Youth makes Music] competition and also in the employment gained by graduates of the music school, for example at the Clara-Schumann School of Music in Düsseldorf, the Rhenish School of Music in Cologne and the School of Music in Hilden.

The focus of Ulrike Warnecke's clarinet playing is in chamber music, predominantly in the Hahnentor Trio, Cologne.

Since 2009 Ulrike Warnecke has been teaching at the Institute For Music and Media at the Robert Schumann School of Music and Media in Düsseldorf.
