Surface Studio

The surface studio is a workstation for 2D and 3D animation, image processing and compositing. The large touch display with pen is especially suitable for drawing and graphics work, because the screen can be placed in a flat position, allowing it to be used as a drawing board. Input is either by conventional mouse/keyboard or by using a surface pen or surface dial. This involves a device similar to a volume control, which can be placed on the display. Various actions, such as scrolling, zooming, adjusting the volume, can be carried out by rotating the dial. 

Around 23sqm, the room has two additional Genelec monitors making it possible to work without headphones on audio-visual projects (for example visual music and transmedia projects as well as animated and experimental film).
