The University Orchestra of the Robert Schumann Hochschule delivered an orchestral production under the direction of Prof. Rüdiger Bohn in November 2021 as part of the Classical Music Recording bachelor’s program. The “Symphonie fantastique” by Hector Berlioz was recorded by an audio team consisting of students from the program along with those from the Artistic Music Production master’s program. Sang-Eun Lee, Johannes Tosta, Benedikt Wild, and Roman Meier took turns taking on the role of Tonmeister, while Pascal Günther and Roberto Alessio switched off taking the role of sound engineer.

The sound team was supervised by Prof. Dagmar Birwe. Monika Dahmen-Breiner, a psychologist and lecturer in the Artistic Music Production program, also sat in on the production and gave the Tonmeister valuable feedback on communicating with the conductor and the orchestra musicians during the recording
