How to get to the IMM

Traveling by train from Düsseldorf central station
>Take the subway lines U78/U79 toward  Messe/Rheinstadion or Duisburg and get off at the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke station.
> From there go 20m back (opposite the direction of the subway you arrived on).
> Turn left into Georg-Glock-Straße.
> You will find our building (Hochschule Düsseldorf) on the right side of the street (entrance at Georg-Glock-Straße 15).
> There is a 4m tall sculpture of a hand holding a pen in front of the entrance.
> Walk through the lobby directly to the staircase and up to the 2nd floor.
> On the 2nd floor, turn right and walk through the glass doorway.
> Go through two more glass doorways until you are standing in front of the entrance to the Institute For Music And Media.

Arriving from the north (Essen, Oberhausen, Bochum, etc.)
> Take the A 52 toward Düsseldorf
> At the end of the autobahn (northern access road) turn right toward Mönchengladbach/Neuss (Grashofstraße/ Heinrich-Erhard-Straße/Johannstraße).
> Stay in the right lane. Continue straight ahead and when the road divides keep right.
> Just after an overpass, turn left toward Innenstadt/Hafen and keep right.
> Then turn into the first street on the right (Georg-Glock-Straße).
> You will find our building (Hochschule Düsseldorf) on the left side of the street (entrance at Georg-Glock-Straße 15).
> There is a 4m tall sculpture of a hand holding a pen in front of the entrance.
> Walk through the lobby directly to the staircase and up to the 2nd floor (UK/German system).
> On the 2nd floor, turn right and walk through the glass doorway.
> Go through two more glass doorways until you are standing in front of the entrance to the Institute For Music And Media.

Arriving from the west (Aachen, Mönchengladbach, Neuss, etc.)
> Take the A 52 from Mönchengladbach via the autobahn intersection Kaarst and continue toward Düsseldorf (the autobahn becomes the B 7, Brüsseler Straße).
> Take the B 7 toward Düsseldorf-Nord Flughafen. Warning: keep left when the street divides! 
> Drive over the Rhine River on the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke.
Take the 1st exit to the right and drive toward Düsseldorf Zentrum.
> After that, keep right and after the traffic light turn right into Georg-Glock-Straße (toward D-Golzheim).
> You will find our building (Hochschule Düsseldorf) on the left side of the street (entrance at Georg-Glock-Straße 15).

> Walk through the lobby directly to the staircase and up to the 2nd floor.
> On the 2nd floor, turn right and walk through the glass doorway.

Coming from the south on the A57 from Cologne
> Take the A 57 toward Neuss, Autobahndreieck Neuss toward Düsseldorf-Bilk.
> Take the Neuss-Hafen autobahn exit via the Südbrücke (B 1) – Südring.
> After the Südbrücke, turn left at the first opportunity onto Völklinger Straße toward the Hafen.
> Continue straight ahead through the Rheinufer Tunnel.
> After this, continue straight ahead via Hofgartenufer/Cecilienallee.
> Before reaching the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke, turn right into Uerdinger Straße.
> At the next traffic light, turn right into Kaiserswerther Straße.
> After 20m, turn left into Georg-Glock-Straße.
> You will find our building (Hochschule Düsseldorf) on the right side of the street (entrance at Georg-Glock-Straße 15).

Coming from the south on the A 3 from Frankfurt 
> At the Hilden Autobahnkreuz (interchange), take the A 46 toward Düsseldorf.
> Take the Düsseldorf-Bilk/Hafen exit (No. 23).
> Keep left and turn left onto the Südring at the intersection.
> Continue straight ahead and at the fourth intersection turn right into Völklinger Straße toward the Hafen.
> Continue straight ahead through the Rhein Tunnel.
> After this, continue straight ahead via Hofgartenufer/Cecilienallee.
> Before reaching the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke, turn right into Uerdinger Straße.
> At the next traffic light, turn right into Kaiserswerther Straße.
> After 50m, turn left into Georg-Glock-Straße.
> You will find our building (Hochschule Düsseldorf) on the right side of the street (entrance at Georg-Glock-Straße 15).

> Walk through the lobby directly to the staircase and up to the 2nd floor.

Using the car park
To reach the Hochschule Düsseldorf [University of Applied Sciences] car park, turn from Georg-Glock-Straße into Josef-Gockeln-Straße. After approximately 200m you will see the entrance to the car park. Drive down the ramp and follow the one-way traffic arrow pointing left and then drive straight ahead until you reach the open, double-door entryway to the main car park. Turn directly left here and park near parking space no. 350. From here, go through the steel door across from you, then through the first door on the right to get to the 2nd floor with the elevator. When getting off the elevator, you will see a glass door across from you on the right. Go through this door, down the hallway on the right and continue straight ahead to the building section for the Institut Fuer Musik Und Medien / Robert Schumann Hochschule (Building A).
