Requirements for the Voice major

1) Voice major
As part of the artistic proficiency audition for the Music and Music Promotion undergraduate majors 1) an operatic aria, 2) an oratorio aria and 3) an art song are to be prepared.

Except for the aria from the oratorio, the audition pieces must be performed from memory. The maximum audition time for the Voice major is 15 minutes.

The degree of difficulty of the audition pieces will also be considered in the assessment scoring.

2) Minor: Piano
Two pieces of the musician’s choice.

Music and Media and Audio and Video
1. At least one aria from an opera or oratorio
2. Two art songs
3. Recitation of a German text (poetry or prose) chosen by the musician

Except for the aria from the oratorio, the audition pieces must be performed from memory.

In the Music and Media as well as Audio and Video bachelor's programs, there is no minor subject examination.

Music Education
In Music Education, the profiency test includes a music pedagogical colloquium in addition to the musical performance.
The topics discussed here include the motivation to study voice pedagogy, the significance of music and making music for life, and the personal meaning and expressive content of the pieces performed for the applicants.
