Schumann Junior

The Schumann Junior Institute offers courses to highly gifted children and youth. The aim is to identify young talents and promote their development in a comprehensive program of studies. The young instrumentalists and singers are supervised by professors and lecturers of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf for several years.

In addition to individual instruction on the student’s instrument, coursework also includes music theory, music in context and body, self-awareness and ensemble playing.. Each semester, the young students have several opportunities to perform in public as part of the Our Young Talents concert series and to demonstrate their skills.
