The Merchant

Raffael Seyfried’s film score for the 25-minute film The Merchant is a project in the Media Composition major. Written and staged by Music and Media major Franz Wüstenberg, the film tells of a merchant who meets an isolated group of people in a post-apocalyptic world.

With a concept that symbolizes a post-technological world through acoustic and simple instruments, but nevertheless strives for an orchestral effect appropriate to the basic conflict between isolation and openness, the musical level of the narrative adds an important dimension.
