Doxá

The video installation Doxá by Laura Rizzo is concerned with the topic of musical shadows. As a rule, visual, i.e., visible shadows require a real object standing in a space. Analogous to this, in Laura Rizzo’s work melodic and rhythmic units are copied and imitated. She makes her compositions visible through projections (video mapping/project adaptation) onto a spatial sculpture.

Doxá by Laura Rizzo was an exam project for the Visual Music major at the Institute For Music And Media of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. The project was supervised by Prof. Dr. Heike Sperling and Marcus Schmickler.
