Alexander Nemes
Assistant Professor for Surround Sound Technology

Alexander Nemes, born in 1962 in Vienna, studied at the University of Music, Vienna before graudating from TUG of Graz in 1987 as a sound engineer. He maintained his own studio for music- and voice recodings over the next couple of years. His studio helped him to experiment with digital technology at a very early stage. 

In 1990 he specialised in outdoor-broadcasting. Thus, Mr. Nemes worked freelance on numberous broadcasting vans in Germany and abroad. His employers included Arte, BBC, DSF, NHK, ORF, RAI, SAT 1, SF-DRS, ZDF and several channels of the ARD-group. From 1998 on, Mr. Nemes served on broadcasting vans with digital mixing desks. Complex productions in all genres including rock- and pop concerts, classical opera recording, international sports events and TV shows in stereo and surround sound are on his CV. 

In 2003, Alexander Nemes signed up for a freelance-deal with SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP. Due to his long list of hand-on jobs, Mr. Nemes services include training lessons on digital mixing desks, comissioning technical installations or customising equipment for individual client's needs. 

 Alexander Nemes' teaching assignment at the Institute For Music And Media of the Universtiy of Music Duesseldorf is mainly introducing students to the Surround Sound Technology of the IMM's sound studios.
